An orientation ceremony for the newly enrolled students of English Department under the Masters of Arts (Evening Program) and Farewell Ceremony of 3rd and 4th batches were held with a befitting manner on Friday morning at Jagannath University (JnU).
On the occasion of the program, the department chalked out a elaborate program including a reception ceremony, discussion session.
Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of JnU was present as chief guest while Prof Dr Md Abu Zafor, Chairman of the English Department and Prof Dr Nasir Uddin, Finance Director of the university addressed the program as special guests. Dr Momin Uddin, Associate Professor of English Department and the Program Director of EMA program presided over the orientation program.
JnU VC Prof Dr Mijanur Rahman welcomed the freshers’ to JnU campus and encouraged them to work hard and be worthy citizens of the country. He also urged the newly admitted students to make the best use of university resources and emphasize the need for higher ethical standards.
Prof Dr Abu Zafor, Chairman of English Department emphasized the need to obey the rules of the university to run the academic atmosphere properly and encouraged the students to avail the facilities of the university.
