A 23-member executive committee of pro-Awami League teachers’ group ‘Blue Panel’ at Jagannath University (JnU) was formed on Tuesday for next one year with Professor Dr Md Jakaria Mia of Microbiology Department as the President and Md Mostofa Kamal, Associate Professor, Islamic Studies Department as the General Secretary.
A press statement signed by office secretary Kazi Faruk Hossain was issued regarding the committee.
According the release, among others, Prof Porimol Bala of Physics Department and Prof Dr Mosne-Ara Begum of Bangla Department were selected as Vice-President, Dr Md Abdullah Mahfuz of Marketing Department as Treasurer, Dr Md Abdur Rouf of English Department and Vibas Kumar Sharker of Zoology Department as Joint-Secretary, Md Mohiuddin of Geography and Environment Department as Organising Secretary, Md Asaduzzaman of Zoology Department as Publicity Secretary, Kazi Faruk Hossain of Institution of Education and Research Department as office secretary and Prof Dr Priovot Pal of Economics Department, Prof Dr Arun Kumar Ghusami of Political Science, Prof Dr Md Sahjahan of Chemistry Department, Prof Dr Md Golam Mostofa of Management Studies Department, Dr Md Shamsul Kabir of Islamic History and Culture Department, GM Tarikul Islam of Philosophy Department, Kazi Nur Hossen of Psychology Department, AGM Sadid Jahan of Islamic Studies Department, Dr Niwaj Alomgir of Institution of Modern Language, Miftahul Bari of Social Work Department, Mehedi Hasan of Zoology Department, Imran Hossain of Finance Department and Nasrin Sultana of Botany Department were selected as Executive Members.
