Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a suspected militant of banned outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Trishal upazila of Mymensingh district.
The arrested man has been identified as Abu Raihan Bin Sadek alias Raihan, 32, hailing from Saud Kanda village in the upazila, said Noor-E-Alam,
Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) of Mymensingh.
Police have been following him for a long time, the police official said.
Raihan was being interrogated at Trishal Police Station for his insolvent with the JMB, the Additional SP said.
A case was filed against Raihan under the Anti-Terrorism Act in 2009, he said.
