bdnews24.com :Police have arrested another suspect, who they say is the ‘regional commander’ of Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), in the case over murder attempt of a Christian priest in Pabna.After the arrest of Rakibul Hasan alias ‘Rakib’, 24, in Tebunia area of the Sadar Upazila on Wednesday morning, police said he masterminded the attempt on the life of the priest.Additional Superintendent of Police Liton Kumar Das saidRakib was arrested following information given by previously arrested Rakibul Islam alias ‘Tauhid’ and four other JMB members.Tauhid in a confessional statement said he was the deputy of Rakib, Das said.On Oct 5, three youngmen attacked Father Luke Sarkar, 50, at his home in Ishwardi town’s Schoolparha.Sarkar, the priest at the local Baptist Mission’s Faith Bible Church of God, managed to escape with a cut on his throat.
