JL men torture 5 Unilever employees in Jessore

Five employees of multinational marketing company Unilever Bangladesh were tortured by alleged cadres of Juba League, youth wing of the ruling party at around 9pm on Wednesday.
The employees- Jewel, 23, Munna, 21, Al- Amin, 21, Shahin, 25 and Raju, 21 who used live on rent at a residence owned Hazrat Ali at Ghope Nawapara Road in Jessore town since August 15, were undergoing treatment at Jessore Medical College Hospital after being tortured and mugged. The Juba League men led by Sajeeb, Billal, Ashraful and Selim tortured the youths at a local of the youth front of the ruling party at Ghope Jail Road after abducting them from their rented residence, police, victims and locals said.
Shikder Akkas Ali, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told that being informed the police went to the spot. ‘The unidentified miscreants snatched money and valuables from the Unilever employees’, he added.
‘The police were trying to round up the miscreants,’ the OC added, ‘No case was filed in this connection as the victims could not be able to know their (miscreants) identity.’
