A Jubo League activist was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Dhanuaghat Sharatganj Bazar in Atgharia Upazila on Thursday.
A group of miscreants waylaid Rafiqul Islam, 37, son of Pachkara Ali of Shatgachha village and an activist of the local unit Jubo League, at Dhanuaghat Sharatganj Bazar while he along with his son was going to his business establishment around 9:30 am, said SM Faruk Hossain, officer-in-Charge of Atgharia Police Station.
The miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately, said OC.
