A local leader of Jubo League was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Mushuria village in Sadar uapzila on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Touhidul Islam, 32, convener of Binoykati union unit Jubo League and a resident of Gagan village in the upazila.
Shila Moni Chakma, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said ¾ men swooped on Touhidul and stabbed him indiscriminately while he was returning home from Mushuria village around 9.00pm, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body and sent it to sadar hospital morgue. Police are trying to arrest the attackers, said the OC.
