UNB, Chittagong :
A Jubo League activist was hacked to death at Lalkhan Bazar in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Sharif alias Tempu Sharif, 24. Sharif was the accused in Jubo League activist Khokan Sarkar’s murder case.
Police said Sharif was returning from his work place around 5pm.
At that time, Chittagong City unit of
Chhatra League locked into a clash with the supporters of local Awami League leader Didarul Alam Masum at Lalkhan Bazar.
When Sharif reached the spot at Lalkhan Bazar, a group of young men picked him up from inside a Bazar and hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, Sharif was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
