A local Jubo League leader was gunned down by unidentified miscreants at Mirikpur Bazar area in Sadar upazila in Laxmipur district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as–Arifur Rahman Farhad, 35, general secretary of Jubo League of Bhangakha union.
Sources said, Farhad went out of the house around 3am as some unknown people called him over phone.
Unknown people shot Farhad to death when he went out of his Mirikpur house after receiving a phone call. Then the miscreants left his body inside a saw mill at Mirikpur Bazar, said Farhad’s father Nurul Amin Master said.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Assistant police super (Sadar) Junayet Kawsar said, on information police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue.
