A Juba League activist was stabbed in Rupganj upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Jakir Hossain 32, son of Abul Kashem, hailed from Mortuzabad of Bhulta union under Rupganj upazila of the district.
Bhulta police outpost In-charge Inspector Shahidul Alam said a
group of masked miscreants attacked Jakir around 7:30am on Wednesday with lethal weapon, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 10:00am.
