Banned four hockey players of Bangladesh National Hockey team Jimmy, Zahid, Rana and Pintoo have apologized to Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF).
They submitted a letter to President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation and Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari on Wednesday and begged apologize for their undisciplined activities against the BHF officials and foreign coach Naved Alam.
Jimmy, Zahid, Rana and Pintoo were engaged in badmouth with the BHF officials and used filthy language to coach Naved Alam during a practice session at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium early this year. Besides, coach Naved Alam was ill-treated by them.
Thus Bangladesh Hockey Federation has banned Jimmy for two years for National team and three years for local competitions, Zahid for two years for National team and three years for local competitions, Rana for two years for National team and one year for local competitions, Pintoo for two years for National team and three years for local competitions.
A BHF official said to this correspondent on Wednesday evening, “The meeting of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Hockey Federation will be held in the last week of this month. In that meeting, the fate of the four players will be decided.”
