Senior representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mr. Hithochiara calls on city mayor AJM Nasiruddin at latter’s office chamber on Sunday evening.
During the meet, city mayor said Japan is our development partner country and credible friend and the Japan’s contribution in Bangladesh is remarkable and praiseworthy. City mayor hailed the JAICA official for extending cooperation in implementing the City Governance project in the city. Mr. Hithochi reiterated his countries cooperation for Chittagong ‘s development in future. Mentionable that JAICA has provided Tk.187 crores for City governance project during fiscal of 2015-16. The Japanese official also discussed the matters of mutual interests and overall development of the Chittagong city. Among others, CCC SWecretary Rashid Ahmed, Superintending Engineer Rafiqul Islam, Executive Engineer Monirul Huda and the senior CCC officials were present during the courtesy call of JAICA official, CCC sources said.
