The annual election of Jhenaidah Press Club was held at the club premises on Wednesday with enthusiasm.
M Raihan of Daily Jankantha and Ekushey TV and Saikh Salim of Channel I and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha were elected president and general secretary respectively.
Th elected other members are vice president Asif Iqbal Kazal of Daily Dinkal (uncocntested), joint secretary Foysal Ahmed of Banik Barta and SA TV and Sports secretary Nasim Ansary of The Independent and Jamuna TV. Six executive members are Mijanur Rahman of NTV and Daily Jugantar, M Saiful Mabud of Kalerkantha, Nijamuddin Joarder of ATN News and ATN Bangla, Aminul Islam Liton of Manabjamin, Abdul Hai of Bhorerdak and Asif Iqbal Makhan of Banglavission TV.
All 48 members of the club cast their votes started at 10.00 Am. Retired principal of Nurunnahar government women’s college Sukhendu Kumar Bhowmik conducted the election as election commissioner, while vice principal of Amena Khatun Degree college Abdus Salam and Advocate Subhas Biswas Milon as the associates.
