Jhenaidah District team emerged as the champions of the Walton 3rd National Women’s Hockey Competition beating Narail District team by a solitary goal in the final at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Sunday.
After a barren first half, Ananya Biswas of Jhenaidah District team scored the all-important goal in the 48th minute of the play.
Assistant Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Vice Marshal Mashiuzzaman Serniabad ,ndu, psc was the chief guest of the final match while Executive Director of Walton Group SM Zahid Hasan and Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn were with him as special guests.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation Khawja Rahmatullah and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Anvir Adil Khan were present, among others.
