The law maker of Jhenaidah-1 constituency, also president of Jhenaidah district Awami league met the media activists at Jhenaidah Press Club on Wednesday afternoon. The press conference was invited to explain the innocence of the law maker in attacking Mokter Ahmed Mridha, a veteran AL man, freedom fighter and ex chairman of Abaipur union of Sailkupa.
The lawmaker in his statement said, a section of media have been covering story about his involvement in attacking the Al man Mridha which was not true at all.
Denying his involvement the law maker said, the people belongs to his party or front organizations were brought to books and remaining will not be escaped from the law.
Jhenaidah municipality mayor and AL district unit secretary Saidul Karim Mintu, ex secretary Abdul Aziz and a number of senior leaders of the ruling party remain present during the time.
As Morshed Mridha, a banker and son of Mridha came to rescue his father, the attackers also beaten up him. They were rushed to nearest UHC and referred to- Jhenaidah general hospital. They were once again shifted to a private hospital in Dhaka where Mridha went under surgical operation. The AL man was still staying in Dhaka.
