Chittagong Jewellery Association(CJA) and the gold traders of port city will enforce token strike on Tuesday next protesting the kidnap of gold trader Mridul Chowdhury .
The association will also enforce protest rally in front of the association office today demanding the immediate rescue of the abduct. This program was announced in the human chain formed in protest of kidnap of Mridul chy on Friday last. Mentionable that jeweler Mridul Chpwdhury was abducted by miscreants on Tuesday last from residence premises in the morning.

Among others, Senior vice President Mridul Kanti Dhar, General Secretary Subash Dhar, Joint Secretary Swapan Chowdhury, ward councilor Jahar Lal Hazari and family members of the abduct were present in the meet. Despite passing of 5 days, the whereabouts of the kidnapped jewellery trader Mridul chowdhury yet to be traced. Jeweller Mridul was abducted from his residence premises in KC Dey road in city on Tuesday morning last by a group of miscreants impersonating themselves as DB-RAB personnel. But it is yet to trace who committed this crime by the law enforcers. Message regarding abduction sent to all CMP and district level thanas for taking actions at their respective areas.
Meanwhile Chittagong Jewellery Association declared 72 hours ultimatum for rescue of Kidnapped Mridul Chowdhury at a press conference held at Chittagong Press Club on Wednesday last. The press meet was also placed 3-point demands. These demands include human chain, joint movement with Shop Owners Federation and token strike if the abduct not rescued by this ultimatum period.
Family members of Mridul Chowdhury including wife Selli Chowdhury were present in the press meet. On the other hand Jeweller Mridul earlier lodged a looting case against RAB-2 officials for alleged looting of 80 tolas gold on January 15 last before the CMM court in Dhaka.
