JETRO to help develop BASIS members’ business

Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will enhance their activities towards business development of BASIS members in Japanese market.
The initiatives will include organising more business-to-business (B2B) meetings between Japanese and Bangladeshi investors and seminars for them. The decision was taken at a meeting between JETRO and BASIS delegations, held Tuesday in the city.
BASIS president Shameem Ahsan led his team to the meeting when the JETRO delegation was led by Kei Kawano, Country Representative of JETRO, Dhaka.
The meeting was also attended by Russell T Ahmed, Senior Vice President of BASIS; Uttam Kumar Paul, Secretary General of BASIS; Liton C. Sarker, Director of JETRO Dhaka and S.M. Shariful Alam, Manager of JETRO Dhaka.
The delegations discussed future activities towards spreading their Software and ITES based activities in both the countries.
JETRO showed interest in several initiatives including bringing Japanese representatives in upcoming Digital world and BASIS SoftExpo. BASIS delegation pledged that they would undertake more joint initiatives with JETRO in future.
