Jessore and Pabna district teams registered victories against their respective group rivals in the Tier1 matches of the 37th National Cricket Championship (NCC) at Pabna and Gopalgangj venues on Sunday.
Jessore (262/9 in 50 overs) rout Satkhira (193/10 in 49.1 overs) by 69 runs in Group A match at Shaheed Advocate Amin Uddin Stadium in Pabna.
Jessore team skipper Mustafizur Rahman Bashar, who scored 82 off 101 balls, was adjudged man of the match while Abdulla Mamun Raju scored 59 off 85 balls.
Susanko Kumer and Nirjan Vhadra bagged four wickets each for the losing team side elected to bowl first after winning the toss.
Abdul Rana and Ariful Islam were notable scorers with 50 and 47 runs for Satkhira.
Shamim Sharif and Aminur Rahman bagged four and three wickets for Jessore team respectively.
Pabna (100/4 in 19.3 overs) secured a comfortable six-wicket victory against Magura (98/10 in 44.5 overs) in the Group B match at Gopalganj Stadium.
Pabna’s bowler Tawhid Tariq Khan captured five wickets for 30 runs in 9.5overs and was adjudged man of the match.
