Junaid Ahmed Polok, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology said Jessore- based under constructed Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park will create jobs for 16,000 youths directly. ‘It will be the only information technology hub for the people of the south-western region,’ he added, ‘it will create freelancers, too.’
The state minster was talking to journalists at a press conference held at the technology park on Thursday noon.
The state minister attended a carried camp at Jessore University of Science and Technology in the afternoon.
‘No government but the government of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Sheikh Hasina had vision for the development of the country,’ the state minister added.
He said the country had been moving like a boat without a sail.
Vowing to develop connectivity, human resources and industrial promotion, the government is set to present a digitalized nation by 2021, the junior ICT minster added.
The press conference was attended among others by Shyam Sundar Shikder, Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Division, Prof Dr Abdus Sattar, VC , Jessore University of Science and Technology, Jahid Hasan Tukun, President, Jessore Press Club and Rumki Kabir.
Certificates were given to a total of 76 trainees and spaces were allocated for IT professionals just before the press conference.
