Newly elected Chairman of Jessore District Council Saifuzzaman Pikul has taken oath of his office on Thursday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina administrated the oath at her office.
Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Abdul Malek conducted the oath taking ceremony.
Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadeq and parliament members from Jessore were present.
PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said the Prime Minister discussed the development projects and present state of educational facilities of the district with the elected representatives of the district.
