JCD-police clash at Feni

At least 15 people, including four policemen, were injured in a clash between the police and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) near Telephone Bhaban in Islampur area of Feni district on Friday afternoon.
Several cocktails were blasted when the rally was progressing around 4:00pm.
The JCD activists arranged the rally on the occasion of its founding anniversary on the day.
They also vandalized a private car, a truck, six auto-rickshaws and at least 10 shops in the Islampur area on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
Police fired 10 rounds of bullets and lobbed tear gas to control of the situation.
The members of law enforcing agencies also arrested at least 28 people from the spot during the clash.
Mahbub Morshed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Feni Model Police Station confirmed the incident and said that discipline had been restored in the area till the report was filing in the night.
