UNB, Chittagong :A local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal was hacked to death by some miscreants at Bhorerbazar in Mirsarai upazila on Thursday night.The deceased was identified as Adil Mahmud Chowdhury, convener of Mirsarai upazila unit of JCD and a resident of Bhorerbazar.Mirsarai upazila BNP convener Nurul Amin said a group of miscreants, numbering 7-8, picked up Adil while he was going to a local bazar from his house around 7:45 pm and took him to a place near the bazar.They chopped him with sharp weapons indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.Adil’s rivals killed him over land dispute, said Nurul Amin.Confirming the incident officer-in-charge of Mirsarai Police Station Imtiaz Bhuiyan said police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
