JBCCI gets new office-bearer

The new office bearers of Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) has taken over the charge for the term July 2018-June 2020 were elected on 24th June in last month at JETRO Dhaka Office in presence of the Election Board and the Election Appeal Board of JBCCI, says a media release.
Newly elected President is Daisuke Arai, Country Representative of JETRO Dhaka Office, Vice-Presidents Md. Shariful Alam, General Manager of Mitsui & Company (Asia Pacific) Pte. Limited and Imrul Anwar Liton, Managing Director of Kojima Lyric Garments Limited, Secretary General Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan, Managing Director of NewVision Solutions Limited, Treasurer Hideaki Kojima, Chief Representative of MUFG Bank Limited Dhaka Office, said a press release.
Directors are Salahuddin Kasem Khan, Managing Director of AK Khan & Company Limited, Akihisa Tomioka, General Manager of Marubeni Corporation Dhaka Office, Kabir Ahmed, Managing Director of Conveyor Logistics Limited, Akira Endo, Director of Yusen Logistics (Bangladesh) Limited, Masud Karim, Managing Director of Asahi Consultants Limited, AK Mizanur Rahman FCA, Managing Partner of Shafic Mizan Rahman & Augustine (Chartered Accountants) and Kazuhiro Kobayakawa, Managing Director of Nippon Express Bangladesh Limited respectively.
It is to be mention that Akhtaruzzaman, Managing Director of the Pacific Quality Control Centre Limited, was designated as the Adviser to the Board of JBCCI again for the term July 2018-June 2020.
Japan has been playing a vital role in the development sectors of Bangladesh and JBCCI has been promoting business opportunity in Bangladesh to attract more Japanese Investors. The New Board of Directors also wish to continue the JBCCI’s activities to improve the bilateral relation between the two nations more in the future. Takashi Shimokyoda of Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh was present during taking over ceremony at Hotel Amari Dhaka.
