Jaya Ahsan, an actress whose popularity melted the border between two Bengals, made history by wearing the longest Lehenga Saree in the world. The star walks elegantly wearing the Lehenga saree of 400 feet in a fashion show at the showroom collection in the city’s Gulshan area recently.
It stands out in another way that the saree is seamlessly gorgeous without any pair provided on the border of traditional sarees.
The saree was designed by the famous fashion designer Prem Bambani. It is in the air that the saree is going to make the Guinness book record. Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Sringla and Director of Prem’s Collection and Chief Designer Prem Bambani were present in the show.
Sharing her feelings about taking part in the event, Jaya Ahsan said, “It feels great to be part of history. The longest Lehenga Saree in the world gives me a great feeling while walking. Although it was not possible to wear whole saree. About 20 of the models have carried the parts of saree that trailed behind. I hope that the saree is going to make a world record. Thanks to Prem’s collection of love to join me with such an incredible feat. Prem is a very favorite designer of mine. Hopefully, its wonderful collection will further enhance the joy of the Eid.”
Joya Ahsan said at the the end of the fashion show, “Most of the time I have to stay in Kolkata due to my movie work. I flew to Dhaka just 10 days back. I will get back tomorrow.”
“Back in Kolkata, I will take part in shooting of the new movie Bijoya shot by Kaushik Ganguly. The film shooting will kick off on May 20. The film’s release date has already been finalized. The film will be released in August. After coming to Dhaka, I did more work with Debi,” Jaya alo said.
