Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon on Thursday said, a 400 feet wide road will be constructed between Jatrabari and Dakkhin Khan soon.
“We have a master plan to modernize DSCC wards. We have completed 75 percent of reform work of newly adopted wards’ roads. The rest of the work will be completed soon. We have a plan to construct a 400 feet wide road from Jatrabari to Dakkhin Khan,” said DSCC Mayor in a reception programme of newly elected councillors of recently extended wards in Konapara in the city.
The Mayor said also that 6,600 LED lights have already been installed in 190 kilometer roads in extended wards of the city.
A total of 10,000 LED lights will be needed in the extended wards. The newly adopted wards will be enlightened soon with the light of LED bulbs.
The Mayor said, there will be no difference between Gulshan, Banani and extended wards of DSCC in 10 years.
Local MP Habibur Rahman Mollah, Awami League Dhaka South unit President Abul Hasnat and General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad among others with newly elected councilors were present.
