A new trust fund titled “Kabi Jasimuddin Hall Trust Fund” has been set up at Dhaka University (DU).
DU Kabi Jasimuddin Hall Provost Professor Md Rahmat Ullah handed over a cheque for Taka 30 lakh to DU Treasurer Professor Md Kamal Uddin on the third instant at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office to set up this trust fund.
The amount has been collected from different internal sources of the hall.
Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Arts Faculty Dean Professor Abu Md Delwar Hossain and Acting Registrar Md Enamuzzaman were present on the occasion, among others, said a press release.
Out of the income of this fund, every year one meritorious student of Kabi Jasimuddin Hall will be awarded gold medal. Besides, 20 meritorious students of the hall will be given scholarship.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Arefin Siddique thanked the Provost of Kabi Jasimuddin Hall for the donation to set up the fund.
He hoped the students would be highly benefited and encouraged by this donation.
