People from all walks of life of Jashore joined a human chain in front of Jessore Press Club demanding Jessore as a separate division and some other demands.
Jessore development and division implementation council arranged the human chain and a press conference at Jessore Press Club on Saturday. Enamul Haque, Shailandanath Saha, Lieutenant Colonel ( retd) Hasan Iqbal, Harunar Rashid, Hasanuzzaman Bipul and Habibur Rahman Khan attended the human chain and the press conference.
The other demands include declaring Jessore town a city corporation, development of Jessore Air Port, establishments of universities after the name of Michael Madhusudan Dutto and Lalon Shah, a public university and creation of four economic zones.
