Japan’s Miyazaki University team meets DU VC

A two-member team led by Professor Dr. Kenichi Ito of the University of Miyazaki, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Tuesday.
Other member of the team was Ms. Sayuri Ogino, said a DU press release. Associate Professor of DU Institute of Modern Languages Dr. Mohammed Ansarul Alam, Assistant Prof. Dr. Md. Monir Uddin and Director of DU Public Relations Office Mahmood Alam were present on this occasion. During the meeting at the VC’s office on the campus, they discussed matters of mutual interest especially ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Miyazaki University. They exchanged views to explore new avenues of collaboration between the two institutions. Besides, they also held fruitful discussion about exchange of faculties and students.
DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman apprised Japanese team members of DU history in brief.
“An excellent relationship has been prevailing between Bangladesh and Japan for long time. Japan has been contributing to our education and socio-economic development since the independence of Bangladesh,” DU VC pointed out.
