A delegation of IWATE University of Japan expressed its interest to launch joint PhD programmes on various subjects with Dhaka University.
The two-member delegation, comprising Prof Matsuo Uemura and associate Prof Abidur Rahman, met Dhaka University vice chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at his office and expressed the interest to introduce joint PhD programmes on Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences and Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology.
They discussed signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard between the two universities.
