A four-member Japanese delegation led by Prof. Dr. Yoshio Maeda of Okayama University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Saturday at his residential office.
Other team members were Prof. Dr. Miyuki Yoshikawa, Dr. Yasushi Iwabuchi and Dr. Fukukk.
Director of the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies of DU Prof. Dr. Mahbuba Nasreen was present, among others, on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and Okayama University, Japan. Exchanges of teachers, students and researchers between the two universities were also discussed in the meeting. They stressed on signing a MoU between Dhaka University and Okayama University to strengthen joint collaborative academic and research programs.
