A two-member Japanese delegation led by Prof Dr Masashi Kawaichi of Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Arefin Siddique yesterday at techers’ lounge at TSC of DU.
The other member of the visiting delegation was Yasumasa Bessho, a DU release said. DU Pro-VC (administration) Prof Dr Shahid Akhter Hossain, treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin, dean of the Faculty of Social Science Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed and some faculty members were present during the occasion.
During the meeting, the discussed matters of mutual interest, especially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the DU and NAIST, Japan.
The VC thanked the guests for their visit and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
