Professor Dr Takaaki Yoshioka of Teikyo University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Thursday. Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of DU Dr. Firoj Ahmed and CEO of Japan Bangladesh Cultural Foundation Sheikh Emdad were present on this occasion held at the VC’s office on the campus. During the meeting they discussed various issues including the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs between the University of Dhaka and Teikyo University, Japan. They stressed the need for sharing knowledge and experience among the teachers and students of these two universities to strengthen academic and research activities.
