About 20 mid- to high-ranking government officials, top managers, and business leaders from 14 countries, including Bangladesh, will meet in Tokyo on Monday to discuss energy-efficient technologies.
The participants representing countries from across the Asia-Pacific region will share issues on Japan’s energy-efficient technologies and examine their applicability in the participating countries.
Managing Director of National Tubes Limited under BSEC Dr M Amirul Momin will represent Bangladesh in the event which will continue till January 30, said an official here.
Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in cooperation with Japan Productivity Center and supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will host the event titled ‘Multi-country Observational Study Mission on Energy Efficiency.
Energy is a major cost component for organisations in all sectors of the economy. Industries, commercial establishments, large building complexes, and public utilities can accrue substantial savings in energy bills by adopting energy efficient techniques, systems, and technologies in their plants, processes, and facilities, according to APO.
