Janmastami, birth anniversary of the Sree Krihna will be celebrated by the Hindu community of the port city in a religious fervor and festivity manner.
On this auspicious religious day, largest religious rally duly participated by the Sanatani Hindu devouts from JM Sen Hall premises on Sunday morning at about 10am .
 In connection of the Janmastami , a press conference as arranged by Sree Sree Janmastami Parishad, Chattogram was held at Chattogram Press Club Hall yesterday morning.
General Secretary of the Parishad Bimal Kanti Dey placed 11 points demand before the press meet.
The points include – to ensure state security for Sanatani hindu community, formation of separate ministry for Minority community to constitute special tribunal for trial of religious oppression against Hindu community, recover of matt and vested properties from the occupiers, 4 days govt leave on Durgapuja, to turn Hindu Welfare Trust into Foundation, renovations of destroyed matt and mandirs by Army Engineering core like as Buddhist pagodas in Ramu, constitute of special courts in every district for settling the vested property suits, and fixing of controversial Pahela Bhaishak celebrations .
Executive President of Parishad Dr Monotosh Dhar, Vice President Sadhan Dar, Alok Das, Chandan Das, Biddalal Shil,Ln Ashish Kumar, Engr Ashotosh Das, Convenor Babul Ghosh, Member Secretary Ratna KarDas, Jhuntu Chowdhury, former convenor and Raozan Poura Mayor Debashish Palit were present on the occasion.
