Jagannath University (JnU) Central Puja Committee on Sunday celebrated the Janmastami marking the birth day of Lord Sree Krishna amid festivity and religious fervour.
A discussion meeting was held at Rafiq square on the campus in this morning where Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mijanur Rahman addressed as the chief guest.
Later, a colorful rally brought out led by Mijanur Rahman. The rally paraded the campus, Bahadursha Park and Bangla Bazaar and ended on the campus.
JnU Central Puja Committee President Professor Dr Priobrota Pal presided over the function when Deputy -Chief Engineer Sukumar Chandra Saha moderated the programme.
