The play ‘Janani’, will bee aired on Maasranga TV soon, the makers say Rahima, a day labourer at a rice mill, is determined to educate her only son Shamsher.
But events take a disturbing turn when the working mother is raped by the owner of rice processing plant.
The single-episode play, directed by Baul Atikur Rahman Ripon, focuses on the woman’s struggles and her daily life.
Written by Dhrupodi Ripon and produced by Md Mehedi Hasan, the play’s impressive casts include Wahida Mollik Jolly, Shatabdi Wadud, Shahana Akter and Nazrul Mia.
The makers said the play would soon be aired on Maasranga TV.
