After a month of test transmissions, Jamuna Television went live ‘On Air,’ starting its broadcasting on April 5.
Jamuna Television will be on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using the most sophisticated production and news gathering technologies to produce a strong schedule of news, sports and business bulletins, as well as variety of current affairs, informational and entertainment programmes.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu formally inaugurated the new satellite channel. Chairman of Jamuna Group Md Nurul Islam was also present on the occasion.
Managing Director of Jamuna TV Md Shamim Islam, CEO of the channel former state secretary Abu Alam Md Shahid Khan, Chief Broadcast Consultant Simon Dring, Executive Director of Operations Bilal Aman Khan, Head of News Zakaria Kajol, Head of Programmes Supan Roy, among others, were present at the launching ceremony.
