The 41st annual general meeting of Jamuna Oil Co Ltd was held at a city community hall on Saturday with its Chairman Mr.Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem in the chair.
The Director of the Board Md. Asifuzzaman, Secretary(In- charge) Ministry of Primary & Mass Education, Mir Ali Reza Director (Marketting) BPC, Kazi Jabunnessa Begum, Addl. Secretry(Development), Energy & Mineral Resources Division, Md. Abu Yousuf Miah, deputy chief, E& M Resources Division, Mr. Mozammel Hoque Bhuyia, Director(Shareholder Quota), Mr. Saifuddin Ahmed Bhuyian , director and Mr. Masudur Rahman, Director & Managing Director, Jamuna Oil Co Ltd attended the meeting and participated in discussions.
Company Secretary Md. Nazmul Hoque assisted the Chairman to conduct the meeting. The meeting was also attended by Syeed Mohammad Mozammel Hoque,Director(Plang), Sankar Prosad Dev Director (Fiance), Mir Ali Reza Director( (Marketting), Mr. Nurul Amin Secretary BPC, Md. Giasuddin Achari Sr. General Manager(Com), Md. Abu Hanif Sr. General Manager (Marketting), Md. Yousuf Hossain Bhuyia General Manager(Audit), Mr.ATM Selim, general Manager(Accounts), Md. Abul Kalam Azad Deputy General Manager(Com) and huge numbers of shareholders . It was apprised in the meeting that the company earned Tk.195.90 cr post tax profit and approved 100% cash dividend i.e. @Tk.10 per share dividend out of profit of 2015-16 fiscal.
The meeting was also told that Jamuna co deposited in the national exchequer Tk.101.99 cr as VAT, IT and other statutory charges in the fiscal 2015-16The Board of Directors and the shareholders of the company expressed their satisfaction on the present activities and financial result of the company, a company release said.
