Jamie Day made head coach of BD Football team

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has appointed Jamie Day of England as the head coach of Bangladesh National Football team till this year’s South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship in Dhaka.
The 12th edition of the seven-nation soccer festival, SAFF Championship, a biennial meet of the region, will be held in Dhaka on September 4-5 next.
Jamie Day, who started playing football at a young age attending Lilleshall National Sports Centre with initiative of Michael Owen and Wes Brown, represented England in U-18 level and signed a professional contract with Arsenal.
Having cut his career short by injuries, Jamie set his ambitions to make career as coach and coached the youth teams of Arsenal FC and Charlton Athletic.
Under the personal recommendation of Eddie Howe and Arsene Wenger, he attained his UEFA ‘A’ Coaching Licence and moved to senior coaching in 2009.
Jamie won the Conference South title with them in 2013 as they were promoted to the Conference Premier and he was also named manager of the year for the 2012-13 season.
