After beating Nepal by two goals to nil in the first match of the ‘Mujib Borsho’ FIFA International Football Series on Friday, the members of Bangladesh team underwent Covid-19 test. Of them, Jamie Day has tested positive for coronavirus, according to the saliva report.
Manager of Bangladesh team Amer Khan informed this matter to a local website on Sunday.
Motivated Bangladesh booters were in a good mood before the second match against Nepal which is scheduled to be held tomorrow. Before this match Bangladesh players got the shocking news.
Amer Khan said, ” It is not a miracle. In this situation, anyone can be infected by coronavirus. It is a miserable matter that Jamie Day has tested positive for coronavirus. We shall take appropriate step for the healing of Jamie Day.”
Jamie Day have to take in 14-day quarantine. Assistant Coach of Bangladesh Stuart Watkins will act the Coach of Bangladesh team in the second match of the ‘Mujib Borsho’ FIFA International Football Series between Bangladesh and Nepal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium tomorrow. The match kicks-off at 5.00pm.
