11th National Parliamentary election: Jamiatul Ulema annouces candidates for 3 JS constituencies in Sylhet

For the upcoming general election of Bangladesh Jatiyo Sangsad, Jamiatul Ulema announced three names for the candidates of 3 constituencies in Sylhet recently.
In Sylhet-1, Sylhet District General Secretary of the party Shaikul Hadith Tahurul Haque Zakigonji, in Sylhet-4 (Jaintapur-Goainghat) Moulana Siraj Uddin Ansari, in Sylhet-5 (Zakiganj-Kanaighat) Moulana Badrul Hasan Rayghari have been nominated as party candidates.
On Friday, Bangladesh Jamiatul Ulema Sylhet City District and city units in a joint meeting held in two sessions in the afternoon, announced this decision. The first session of the meeting was presided over by Sylhet City Unit President Sheikh Abdur Rouf and the second session was presided over District President Principal Moulana Abdus Salam. Those who attended in the meeting are Sylhet City unit Joint Secretary Moulana Mujjakkir Hussain, City Finance Secretary Moulana Shahjahan Ahmed, City Assistant General Secretaries Moulana Abdul Karim and Moulana Shah Nesar Ahmed respectively, Kanaighat Upazila Secretary Moulana Abdul Matin and contestants nominated for Sylhet-1 and Sylhet-4 respectively.
In the meeting it is decided that the party candidate will contest as independent candidate subject to the decision of the central committee of the party.
