James is returning with a new playback song after a long hiatus. The “Guru” of Bangladeshi music has voiced a number titled, “Tor Premete” for Hasibur Raza Kallol’s upcoming movie Satta.
Featuring the ‘King Khan’ of Bangladeshi cinema, Shakib Khan and Paoli Dam from Kolkata, Satta is being produced by Sohani Hossain, who is also the lyricist of the song. With Bappa Mazumdar’s composition and music, “Tor Premete” has already created quite a buzz on social media after it’s release.
However, other recent playback numbers of the national-award-winning singer include the likes of “Ashbar Kale Ashlam Eka” in Koshto, “Ashche Desha Asche” in Desha- The leader, “Prem O Ghrina” in Zero Degree, “Eto Koshto Koshto” in Warning, “Bidhata” in Sweetheart, and were also lauded by fans.
James is an unparalleled musician and is often considered to be the pioneer of psychedelic rock in Bangladesh. Rising in the 90’s with his band Feelings, the singer earned plaudits and popularity beyond the border with his playback numbers in Bollywood, including “Bheegi Bheegi” from Gangster, which remained at the top of the Bollywood Hit List for more than a month back in 2005.
