On the occasion of Independence Day and also to raise voices against militancy, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Universal Medical College are going to arrange an anti-militancy concert on March 24.
To create awareness among the youth against militancy, this concert is to be arranged at Government Physical Education College in the city’s Mohammadpur area.
Nagar Baul famed popular singer and also National Film Award winner James will perform in this concert. Managing Director of Universal Medical College and Hospital Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty confirmed the matter yesterday.
While talking about his performance in the concert James also confirmed the matter. He said, “Yes, I am going to perform in the concert to create awareness against militancy among the youths. I hope it will become a nice concert. I will give thanks to them who are organising the concert.”
Bedsides James, seven leading band groups of the country will also perform in the concert, he added. From 3:00pm to 11:00pm the concert will be opened for all on March 24.
