Bangladesh Football team including Jamal Bhuiyan and Saaduddin returned home on October 15 after a heroic 1-1 draw against their counterpart India at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The 85-thousand spectators of the big bowl were impressed after watching the eye-catching performance of red-and-green out-fit.
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh led with a solitary goal on 88th minute of the play but ill-fated Bangladesh conceded the equalizer in the 88th minute. Thus Bangladesh were deprived from a confirm victory.

Bikash Bhadra, who is working at the Health Desk in Kolkata Medical Research Institute, could not watch the match at the big bowl but he watched the match on television. He said to a reporter of Bangladesh, ” Your team played extremely well. We settled for a 1-1 draw as the fate helped us.”
A fruit seller of Dharmatala who went to the stadium after shutting his store said, ” I went to the big bowl to watch the match. I expected that Sunil Chhetri and his teammates will defeat Bangladesh scoring at least three goals. But after watching the match, it seemed to me that fortune favoured India as India could concede three goals. India avoided the loss after scoring in the 88th minute.”
Manager of a Restaurant of Marques Street said, ” After a long days I saw a match between Bangladesh and India. I could not remember the match. But I became astonish after watching the performance of booters of Bangladesh.”
From September 29 to October 15, Bangladesh played four matches. Bangladesh played two FIFA Friendly matches against Bhutan and earned two victories. Then played against stronger Qatar and conceded a 0-2 goals defeat. Later, Bangladesh made a 1-1 draw with India.
