Jamal Bhuiyan tests corona negative

Captain of Bangladesh Football team Jamal Bhuiyan has tested negative for coronavirus. He is now staying at a hotel in isolation under Qatar Football Association. Jamal underwent Covid-19 test on Saturday. His corona report was negative. He will return home soon, according to a Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) press release.
It may be mentioned that Jamal Bhuiyan-led Bangladesh Football team went to Qatar to play against the hosts in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023 match. The match was held on December 4. After the match, the striker stayed in Qatar for personal reasons. Apart from Jamal Bhuiyan, All members of Bangladesh Football team returned home. Jamal was tested positive of coronavirus on December 10.
Jamal, who signed an agreement with Kolkata Mohammedan Sporting Club to play in the upcoming I-League, is still under consideration of the Kolkata-based outfit. Kolkata Mohammedan Sporting had started looking for Jamal’s replacement for the upcoming I-League, which begins on January 9, but the officials of Mohammedan might change their mind given Jamal makes a quick recovery to full fitness. The 33-year-old Captain of Bangladesh Football team will return home soon and is hopeful about his making debut with the Kolkata-based out-fit.
