Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general Mia Golam Parwar and the top three leaders have been arrested in a case of alleged anti-state activities. They were arrested from Bashundhara residential area in the capital on Monday afternoon.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Gulshan Division DC Md. Asaduzzaman has confirmed the information.
According to a police source, several top leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami organized a secret meeting in the capital’s Gulshan on Monday. Gulshan police raided the place and arrested them based on secret information.
