Chittagong District Police arrested former Private Secretary (PS) of Chittagong City Jamaat leader and former lawmaker ANM Shamsul Islam Chowdhury from city’s Laldighi area on Monday.
The arrestee was identified as Jasim Uddin Sarkar, hailed from Lohagara Upazila of the district.
Mohammad Shahjahan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lohagara Thana, said Jasim was again arrested while coming out of the Chittagong Central Jail around 4.30pm after getting bail.
