Staff Reporter :Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has called for 48-hour countrywide hartal from 6 am today (Tuesday) protesting what it termed the government’s conspiracy to kill the party’s Assistant Secretary General Muhammad Kamaruzzaman, and demanding release of other top leaders of the party.Jamaat Acting Ameer Maqbul Ahmed announced the hartal in a statement on Monday, after the Supreme Court had rejected Kamaruzzaman’s review petition against his death sentence in war crimes case.
