Chittagong Bureau :Chittagong district police arrested an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami with firearms from Mirzarkill area under Satkania upazila early Friday. The arrestee was identified as Imtiaj Hossain Manik, 40, son of Late Idris Ahmed Chowdhury, hailing from Mirzarkill village under Satkania upazila of the district.A team of Satkania thana police in a drive conducted at Mirzarkill village under Satkania upazila arrested Imtiaj in connection with three cases including one murder and a sabotage before the general election on January 5 in 2014, said Khaled Hossain, Officer in Charge of Satkania thana. Police recovered two LG guns, one Shooter Rifle, five knives, and 25 packets of ganza from his possession, OC added. He is wanted in three cases including one murder and sabotages, police said.
