Police recovered 12 bottles of Phensedyl, Tk 44.43 lakh in cash, FDRs of around Tk 2.50 crore deposited with different banks and cheques issued in favour of him totaling around Tk 1.30 crore from his bag, Deputy Attorney General A K M Amin Uddin Manik told.
He said, police filed two separate cases with Bhairab Railway Police Station against Sohel under the Money Laundering Act and the Narcotics Control Act.
Sohel filed the bail plea with the High Court on January in the money laundering case. Advocate Adnan Rafique appeared for Sohel.
